Peggy Jean (Buckley) Steele, 83, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2013 in the company of her family at Beaumont Hospice in Madison Heights, Michigan.
She was born in Jackson, Ohio on October 12, 1929 and attended Jackson City Schools, graduating from JHS in the Class of 1947. Peggy married Robert D. (Bob) Steele in 1948. They lived in Jackson and other locations in Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida and Michigan during their marriage. Peggy was preceded death by her husband Bob in 2012; her parents, Helen and Don Buckley, Sr.; and an infant brother.
Peggy is survived by her son, Craig Steele (Althea) and granddaughter, Carrie, all of Coldwater, Michigan; her daughter, Debbie Stuart (Jamie) of Shelby Township, Michigan; brother, Don Buckley, Jr. (Julie) of Upper Arlington, Ohio and sister, Patricia Swaim (Bob) of Circleville, Ohio, and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family will gather at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio on Thursday, September 26, 2013 for a graveside service. Friends are welcome to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to Beaumont Hospice, 141014 Mile Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
