Paul B. Warren

Paul B. Warren, age 74, of Jackson, died Friday, June 22, 2018 at his sister’s home due to prolonged weakness from cancer. He was born April 26, 1944 in Clark County; son of the late Paul Bennett and Juanita (Moyer) Warren of Jackson.

Preceded in death were two sons: David and Richard (Ricky) Warren; four brothers: infant twins Ronald and Donald, John Eugene Warren and James Bennett Warren.

Survivors include a son, Kyle Warren of Bellefontaine; a daughter, Anita (Gary) Spriggs of Jackson; a sister, Rosalie “Rosie” Warren Shafer of East Liberty; sister-in-law, Priscilla Bishop Warren of West Mansfield; and four grandchildren: Blaze and Zane Warren of Bellefontaine and Neill and Whitney Spriggs of Jackson.

Paul attended Baptist Church at Jackson for a period of time in his life. He worked as an auto mechanic at Montgomery Ward, Bellefontaine for 10 years. He was also a truck driver. He served in the United States Army for seven years. During those years he was in Germany and served in the Vietnam War. He received a National Defense Service Medal for sharpshooter (rifle). He was proud to be a veteran.

He enjoyed helping people. He spent his last several years giving neighbors rides to doctor appointments, grocery, laundromat, etc. until unable due to health. He spent time every day for years at a local gas station helping and having coffee there with friends. He also enjoyed gardening and sharing the produce.

The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home, 135 Broadway Street, Jackson, Ohio on Thursday, June 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date at Zanesfield Cemetery near his two deceased sons.
