Patricia K. Bailey, age 71, of Wellston, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Berger Health System in Circleville, Ohio. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on March 12, 1948 to the late Jesse W. Hurd and Irma (Martin) Hurd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Bailey.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily C. Reed-Swaney (Brian); grandchildren: Bailey and Tanner Reed; and great-grandchildren: Kamon and Millie Sisomphone. Also surviving are her best friends: Brenda “Bonnie” Bates and Mary Weatherholt.
Patricia was a 1966 graduate of West Portsmouth High School. She was a past Worthy Matron with the Eastern Star and was also an avid collector of Longaberger baskets.
A funeral service was held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. with Bill Taylor officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 28 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg, Ohio.
