Oney McKitterick, age 87, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away Friday May 19, 2017 at Jenkins Community Care. She was born on Sept. 20, 1929 to her parents, Jay Crum and Hattie (Greathouse) Crum in Logan County, West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Oney was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McKitterick and her stepmother, Haley Crum. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and raising chickens.
Oney is survived by her children, John McKitterick, Mona (Paul) Ervin and Edith (James) Smith; brother, Robert Crum; sister, Delores Davis; four grandchildren, Kellie Neece, Jason Ervin, Amanda McCeary and Jimmy Smith; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Neece officiating. Burial will follow at Coalton Cemetery.
