Myrtle J. Moore, age 91, of Jackson, passed away at Adena Medical Center of Chillicothe, Ohio Saturday, Oct. 12. She was born in Pennsylvania to the late Leroy Meeder and the late May (Meeder) Thomas, on January 26, 1922. She had one brother, Jack; and five sisters, Betty, Patty, Alice, Mickey and Mimi.
Surviving are two sons, Herbert (Diana) Moore and Terry Leroy Moore; three daughters, Sandy Moore and Cindy (Paul) Sickles, all of Jackson; and Roberta Gaines of Virginia Beach; 19 grandkids, 29 great-grandkids and eight great-great-grandkids. Myrtle was one of a fifth generation.
She was preceded in death by husband, the late Herb Moore; the late William Moore; infant daughter, Lindy Moore (twin to Cindy) and Rosemary (Moore) Hamilton. Myrtle enjoyed outings with the family and loved all her kids.
She will be cremated at her own prior request. There will be a memorial service at the Wellston Church of God Saturday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. and a dinner will follow. She will be laid to rest at Fairmount Cemetery, Jackson.
