Myrtle E. Stapleton

Myrtle E. Stapleton, 85, of Beaver, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Pike Community Hospital, Waverly, Ohio. She was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on July 14, 1926.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus D. and Martha (Bellomy) Ball; husband, John Stapleton; daughter, Janet Stapleton; three infant children, Daniel, Marcus, and Phillip; two sisters, Sarah Ball and Sue Ball; two brothers, Frank Ball and Arthur Ball; and special friend, John Wiseman.

Myrtle was a homemaker and loved to quilt and read.

She is survived by two sons, James Stapleton of Columbus, and Stephen Stapleton of Piketon; one daughter, Gail Durham of Beaver; one brother, John Ball; two sisters, Laura Gullet and Mabel Johnson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Friends were to be received at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, May 10 from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Friday, May 11 from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dobie Wyant officiating. Burial was to follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery, Beaver, Ohio.
