Mollie B. Haddox Gilliland

Mollie B. Haddox Gilliland, age 75, of Wellston, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones on Saturday May 25, 2019.

She was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on Feb. 23, 1944 to the late Ben and Sarah (Lovely) Bailey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, six sisters and three brothers, as well as her daughter, Melinda Adkins and granddaughter, Kaysey Adkins.

She is survived by her two brothers, John (Cindy) Bailey of Kentucky and Larry (Ramona) Bailey of Hillsboro, and one sister, Virginia Sue Wildermuth of Tennessee. She is also survived by her children, Carolyn (James) Adams of Jackson, Paul D. Haddox of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Melissa (James) Nicholson of McArthur, Carl (Trish) Haddox of Beaver, Sheryl Edwards of Wellston, and Roger (Melinda) Haddox of Georgia. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mollie was retired from General Mills of Wellston. Mollie enjoyed life to the fullest and her family was her priority. She was very giving and caring and everyone that met her loved her.

Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson on Friday, May 31 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Burial will follow at Campbell Cemetery on Fairgreens Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
