Mary Kathleen “Connie” Fee

Mary Kathleen “Connie” Fee, age 90, of Jackson, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born August 1, 1925 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late William Orval and Mary Alice Evans Mynes.

In her early years, she and her father worked at the Londonderry Powder Plant in Richmond Dale, later becoming a LPN and was the founder of the Fee Nursing Home which was originally on Pearl Street and later moved to Main Street. After several years they built their new facility, “Jackson Care Center” on State Route 93 which is now owned by HCR and is known as Heartland of Jackson Nursing Facility.

She was a member of the Trinity Chapel Church in Jackson, and a member of the Eastern Star, Oak Hill Chapter 449 OES. She enjoyed meeting with the Oak Hill retired nurses group, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son: Dick and Sandy Fee; granddaughters: Tina McManaway, Wendy and Shawn McGoon and Amy and Jeremy Willis; great-grandsons: Tyler, Dylan and Nathan McManaway and Nolan Willis; sister-in-law: Mary Mynes; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles O. Fee; and brothers, William “Bill” Mynes and Glendon L. Mynes.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Stewart officiating and burial to follow in the C.M. Cemetery.
