Mary H. Johnson

Mary H. Johnson, age 77, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born October 27, 1934 in Kentucky, the daughter of the late John and Effie Blair Scott. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was the clerk for Washington Township for over 20 years and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roger W. Johnson; two daughters, Carol (Guy) Waugh of Wellston and Lynn Craft of Wellston; four sons, Mike (Debbie) Johnson of Wellston, Paul A. Johnson of Wellston, John (Pat) Johnson of Gallipolis and Robert (Desiree) Johnson of North Carolina; dear friend, Barbara Wolf of Wellston; 13 grandchildren, Tony Waugh, Teresa (Ryan) McFadden, Jason Sorrell (Cody), Morgan and Matthew Johnson, Rachael (Chad) Byler, Evan Johnson, Tyler (Makala) Johnson, Kristen Johnson, Brittany Johnson, J.R. (Tiffany) Johnson, Malea Johnson and Meghan Wheeler; four great-grandchildren, Paige Waugh, Konlyn Peck, Bralyn Waugh and Skylar Brown; two brothers, Raleigh Scott of Jackson and Bill Scott of Beaver; three sisters, Betty Tucker of Jackson, Barbara Ruff of Florida and Elizabeth “Libby” Wyant of Jackson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Eastern Star services being held at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev.
