Mary Anne Doles, age 80, of Ray, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, at the Edgewood Manor of Wellston. She was born April 6, 1934 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late George Farabee and Dorothy Woods Farabee Wright.
Mary Anne was a homemaker who enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and squirrels, and flower gardening. She was a member of the Corinth Church in Ray and was a member of the former Ray Senior Citizens, where she served as secretary for several years.
Mary Anne is survived by her husband of 64 years, Henry Elwood Doles, whom she married on April 12, 1950; children, Linda Kay Frazier (Richard) of Ray, Dorothy Anne Harper (Gerald) of Ray and Robert Elwood Doles (Julie) of Ray; grandchildren, Mary Ellen Daniels (Mike Stitt), Kelly Jo Seymour (Jimmy), Deborah Thacker (Thomas Dexter), Gerald Harper (Tishca), Elizabeth Hurst (Josh) and Robert Doles; brother, William Edward Farabee (Betty) of Chillicothe, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, including special nephew who was raised in the home, Keith Doles (Myra) of Buckeye Lake.
Besides her parents, Mary Anne was preceded in death by her grandson, Wayne Eric Rutter and a half brother, Carl Farabee.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Leland Benson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
