Marolyn Lou Rife

Marolyn Lou Rife, 73, of Wellston, Ohio, went home with her Lord, while surrounded by her family, on Monday morning, Feb. 3, 2020, at her home. She was born in Rutland Township in Meigs County, Ohio, on Nov. 10, 1946, to the late Garland and Ethel Jacks Sinclair.

She was a busy homemaker, having raised six children. She loved to cook and work in her flower garden. She and her husband, Charles W. Rife, Sr., who survives, were married on May 20, 1967, and enjoyed camping in their motor home throughout many states.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Cledith Sinclair, Maxine Jordan and Linda Sinclair.

Besides her husband, she leaves behind three sons: Larry Dale (Tina) Rife, Charles Wayne (Walkenda) Rife, Jr., and Roy Shane Rife, all of Wellston; three daughters: Valerie S. (John) Gearing of Wellston, Debbie Lue (Michael) Bales of Sumter, South Carolina, and Teresa Kay (Jeffery) Weber of Marietta, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Flora (George) Bing of Logan, Ohio, and Carolyn VanMeter of Middleport, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Dixie Lou Rife.

The family will receive friends at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be at the Jenkins Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bobby Cleland officiating.
