Marilyn “Memaw” Rose Harrell

Marilyn “Memaw” Rose Harrell, age 80, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at Jenkins Nursing Home. She was born April 8, 1932 to the late Dorothy Halterman and Theodore “Ted” Hicks. Marilyn had a love of gardening, “The Love of Gardening Is A Seed That One Sewn Never Dies”.

She was survived by six children, Linda Irwin, Carol Oliver, Teresa (Jim) Yerian, Wayne (Sandy) Harrell, Cheryl Landers, and Tony (Beverly) Huston; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Along with parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Beth Twomey; brothers, Theodore and Charles “Cork” Hicks.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, at the funeral home.
