Marilyn E. Taylor

Marilyn E. Taylor, age 88, a former resident of Columbus, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia. She was born May 5, 1930 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Homer E. Jones and Edith M. Camink Jones.  

Marilyn was a 1948 graduate of Wellston High School. She retired from The Ohio State University, where she was employed in the accounting department for 27 years. Marilyn enjoyed attending and being a vendor at flea markets, as well as working in her flower gardens. She attended Como United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Wellston Chase Chapter #162 Order of the Eastern Star. 

Marilyn is survived by her two sons, Michael Taylor of Grove City and Randall Taylor Circleville; siblings, Herb Jones of Marysville, Florace Morrow of Columbus, Marcy Newvahner of Jackson and Richard Jones of Ashville; along with six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Taylor in 2011; and brothers and sisters, Robert Jones, Phyllis Miller, Gerry Ponn and Eleanor Jolly. 

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.
