Margaret “Margie” Gregory Ayers

Margaret “Margie” Gregory Ayers, 93, died peacefully Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Perrysburg Care and Rehabilitation Center in Perrysburg, Ohio, following several years of failing health. She was the widow of the late Arthur Monroe Ayers who died in 2006. Margie and Art were long-time residents of Wellston, Ohio, then moved to Northville, Michigan in 1970.

Born May 22, 1919, in Wilkesville, Ohio, Margie was the younger of two daughters born to the late Charles and Alma Bosworth Gregory. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Edna Gregory Hutchison, formerly of Jackson, Ohio.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Carolann Ayers of Northville, Michigan; grandson, Dr. Gregory Ayers, his wife Patricia, and their children Joshua, Jordan, and Jeremy, of Eastsound, Washington; grandson, Douglas Ayers and his wife Rachel of Big Timber, Montana; and several nieces and nephews.

The family is being served by Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Waterville, Ohio. A private memorial will be held at a later date, with burial to follow at Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to staff members at the Browning Masonic Home in Waterville, the Perrysburg Care and Rehabilitation Center, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the excellent care given to Margie during the past six years.
