Linda L. Hoover

Linda L. Hoover, former Jackson County Recorder, passed away at her home with her family on Thursday, May 21, 2020. She was born on July 4, 1943 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Harry and Jessie (Dyson) Landrum.

Linda started in county service in the early 70s and retired as county recorder in the year 2006 after serving as such from 1988 through 2006. She was also involved in 4-H for many years and she was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church on Cove Road.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roger W. Hoover; one daughter, Lou Ann (Jamie) Craig; two sons, Ray Wayne (Metisse) Hoover and Harold Lee (Robin) Hoover; her brother, Rodney (Dottie) Landrum; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends from Jackson and Sebring, Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Russel Landrum and Robert Landrum; and a sister, Donna Jean Reisinger.

Private family services will be held under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Goodall officiating. Burial will be at Beaver Union Cemetery.
