Levi Pierce

Levi Pierce, 17, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in Wellston on Saturday evening, June 13, 2015. He was born in Gallipolis, Ohio, on July 30, 1997, to Bobby Pierce and Kim Jayjohn of Wellston.

He was a 2015 graduate of Wellston High School where he was #52 for the Golden Rockets football team and lettered in football. He loved spending time with his family members, enjoyed fishing, and kept fit by working out. Following graduation, he planned on going into construction work with his uncle, Donnie Joe, in Columbus, Ohio.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Judy Jayjohn Watters of Wellston; his sister, Judy Jayjohn, of Wellston; his niece, Jaliyah Jayjohn, of Wellston; three uncles, Ernest and Leon Jayjohn of Wellston and Donnie Joe Watters II of Wellston; and many close cousins,

The family will receive friends at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Jenkins Chapel with Pastor Steve Mathews officiating. Levi’s final resting place will be in the Coalton Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Wearing of the “blue and gold” in Levi’s memory would be most appreciated by the family.

The family suggests that memorial contributions in Levi’s name be made to the Wellston Golden Rockets football program in care of Wellston High School, 200 Golden Rocket Drive, Wellston, Ohio 45692.
