Laura Nelle Stroth

Laura Nelle Stroth, 95, of Newcomerstown, O. passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Newcomerstown. She was born November 6, 1917 in Springfield, OH to the late Frank and Jessie (Tippett) Lantz. She graduated from Wellston High School and was an accomplished homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande, AZ, and was affiliated with Victory Assembly of God Church in Newcomerstown. She had also been an active member of the Toltec Ladies Club, Toltec, Arizona and of the Wellston Garden Club in Wellston, Ohio. On August 9, 1941, she married Hugh I. Stroth, who died on July 28, 2010.

She is survived by one son, Hugh I. (H. I.) Stroth and wife Ann of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Laurna Brown and husband Don of Newcomerstown, and Mary Dean and husband Rick of Flagstaff, AZ; six grandchildren, Tracy (Richard) Stephenson, Michelle (Brad) Moore, Jonathan (Becky) Zufelt, Kim Stroth and companion Phillip and his daughter Tiandra, Nathan (Kristin) Zufelt and Cecilia Brown and fiance, Trey; five great-grandchildren, Austin Zufelt, Caroline Stephenson, Sydni Zufelt, Claire Moore, and William Moore; a beloved cousin, Bob Tippett of Dayton; three nieces, Darla Burns, Marilyn (Toni) Kelly, and Laura Mulhern.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Jeanne, Thelma (Jo), brother, Cauncey, two sisters who died in childhood, and niece, Jeannine Sanborn.
