Larry W. Walter, Sr., age 77, of Oak Hill, Ohio, born Feb. 6, 1941, passed away at his residence on May 13, 2018 with his family by his side.
Larry served in the U.S. Military for three years. He worked for the Oak Hill Schools Bus Transportation Department for many years, where he retired in 2002. He loved fishing, farm life and family time.
Larry married Linda (Rawlins) Walter on Nov. 22, 1965. They had four beloved children: Larry (Sandra) Walter of Oak Hill, Ohio, Michael (Christi) Walter of Blackfork, Ohio, Candi (Albert) Bloomfield of Kitts Hill, Ohio, and Scott Walter of Rio Grande, Ohio. Also surviving is a brother, Rodney Walter of Ironton, Ohio and sister, Geraldine Davis of Baltimore, MD; and Larry was grandfather to 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Walter; parents, Eugene and Helen Walter; step mom, Octava Owens; and sister, Janice Moore.
Larry’s wishes were for no funeral calling hours; just a family graveside service (date to be set at a later time), at Horeb Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio.
