Larry Ellison

Larry Ellison, 78, of Jackson, died August 4th, 2012 after a lengthy illness at Four Winds Nursing Home in Wellston. He was born December 27th, 1934 in Jackson County to parents, Eddie and Roberta. He was a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School and was retired after a long career in sales working for Sysco Foods, Ron Rush Lincoln Mercury, and Mark Porter Chevrolet.

Larry was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Jackson and the Gideons International. He was a member of Jackson Trowel Lodge Free and Accepted Masons. Throughout his life he was an active rifle shooter and competitor, serving on the US Navy Rifle Team and winning many awards and records.

Larry is survived by his mother, Roberta of Jackson; sons, Ed of Mobile, Alabama and Eric of Columbus; and brother, Jay of Battle Creek, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church in Jackson on Friday, August 17th. Donations can be made in his memory for cancer research to The Ohio State University James Cancer Research Center.
