Kenny Lee Jenkins

Kenny Lee Jenkins, age 65, of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on October 23, 1952 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Charles E. and Edith (Queen) Jenkins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Robbie; his second wife, Brenda; and a brother, Jay Jenkins.

He is survived by his daughters, Paula (Patrick) Coleman and Melanie Gillespie; grandchildren: Janelle, Jhaela, Megan, Jordan and Justin; and a brother, Danny A. Jenkins. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Kenny was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a former Chief of Police in Leesburg, Ohio. Before his retirement he drove trucks for Active USA Transportation for over 20 years. He loved his children and grandchildren, bragging on them often. He enjoyed Disney cruises and over the years took all of his grandchildren on one. He enjoyed seeing the country while driving cross-country from California to Canada delivering new trucks – traveling to most every state. He also enjoyed hunting.

The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home, 135 Broadway Street, Jackson, Ohio on Thursday, May 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will held at the funeral home on Friday, May 18 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wendell Vermillion officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, State Route 62, Leesburg, Ohio.
