Kenneth R. Queen

Kenneth R. Queen, 78, of McArthur, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden. He was born June 25, 1936 in Logan, West Virginia, son of the late Walter and Tina Lowe Queen. Kenneth was married for 35 years to Linda Zimmerman Queen, who survives.

He formerly owned Subway in Wellston, was an Army veteran and was a proud graduate of Logan High School in Logan, West Virginia, Class of 1955.

Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Amy (Nathan) McManus of Wellston and Theresa (Mark) Fisher of Port Charles, Florida; grandchildren, Noa Danielle and Nixon Dru McManus and Michelle Elizabeth and Michael Ray Fisher; and sisters, Barbara (Malcolm) Thompson of Coppers Cave, Texas and Linda Avery of Berea, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Nathaniel Douglas McManus; one brother and three sisters.

Kenneth’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Kenneth R. Queen to National Church Residence Hospice, 444 Cherry St., Waverly, Ohio 45690.
