Judith M. “Judy” Carter

Judith M. “Judy” Carter, age 72 of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Four Winds Community. She was born on January 5, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Cecil and Marie (McKinniss) Evans. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy H. Carter; a son, Robb Carter; a brother, James C. Evans; a sister, Patricia (Jay) Hooley; and a brother-in-law, Larry Moore.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Linda) Carter and Todd (Janet) Carter; daughter, Jennefer (David) Saxour; grandchildren: Cas Blunt, Lisa Hudson, Brandy Yanez, Damien Carter, Austin (Courtney Fraley) Carter, Anastacia (Jason) Landis, Lane Saxour and Haley Saxour; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Moore and Kathleen (David) Hatton, along with Damien’s mother, Kathleen Woods.

Judy liked working with flowers – both indoors and outdoors and landscaping. She also enjoyed her cats.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Four Winds Community Fast-Track Rehab Unit for the wonderful care they provided.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4th at 1:00 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bethel Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
