Juanita Elizabeth “Lib” (Snyder) Warning

Juanita Elizabeth (Snyder) Warning (“Lib”), age 93, of Oak Hill, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019 at her home. She was born Oct. 1, 1925 in Oak Hill to the late John and Opal (Crabtree) Snyder.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Jeff) Moore; grandchildren, Kayla (Aaron) Sturgill, Karla (R.P) Roof, Troy Moore, Carla (Brian) Cox, Cindy Collins, Courtney (Jerry) Nichols, all of Oak Hill; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judith (Raymond) Strickland and Jean Strickland; and special niece, Shirley Adkins who helped provide care for Lib. Also surviving are many great-great-grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Warning; son, Edward “Buck” Collins; infant brother, Bobbie; sisters, Ruby Potts, Irene Woods and Betty Fulk; half-brother, Carl Snyder and half-sisters, Merle Lambert, Mildred Rawlins and Myrtle Woodruff.

After retirement from Heartland, Lib became a stay-at-home grandma and took care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, watching the Cincinnati Reds, crossword puzzles, gameshows and visiting with family and friends.

Friends may call Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery.
