Jerry Dale Norton, Sr., age 53, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 at his home. He was born Aug. 5, 1965 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Earl Franklin Norton, Sr. and Phyllis Kaye Hill Norton.
Jerry was a 1983 graduate of Wellston High School and a veteran of the United States Army, who served during the Gulf War. He was a former employee of Sands Hill Coal Company and Austin Powder. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, quilting with his mother, and participating in karate with his children.
He is survived by his father, Earl Norton, Sr. of Wellston; children, Tiffany Norton and J.D. Norton, both of Jackson; granddaughter, Kaia Ray; sisters, Gail Arthur (Steve), Joyce Jacobs (Mike), Jean Martin, and Diane Beatty, all of Wellston; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Kaye Norton; and his brother, Earl Norton, Jr.
