Janice Marie (Beckley) Swann

Janice Marie (Beckley) Swann, of Oak Hill, Ohio, went home to Jesus on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Kings Daughters Medical Center surrounded by her children. She was born September 10, 1935 in Wayele County, West Virginia, to the late Charles A. and Dorothy (Mircle) Beckley.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, South Swann (2-14-14).

She is survived by her four children, Debbie Gray of Oak Hill, Cliff (Jeanie) Swann of Burnaugh, Kentucky, Dorothy (Dave) Lambert of Piketon, Ohio, and Rosie (Steve) Kaiser of Commercial Point, Ohio; and grandchildren, Mendy (Wade) Burdine, Jamie (Stacy) Gray, Heather (Jerome) Locklear, Jennifer (Erik) Smith, Becky and Betsy Stanhope, Jaylynn, Robby, and Tristan Kaiser and Zech (Aryn) Lambert.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Chase and Lane Burdine, Drew and Gage Locklear, Zoey Smith, and Jenna and Kayla Malone; three brothers, Charles (Leona) Beckley of Oak Hill, David (Susie) Wayne, JimRay (Barbara) Beckley of West Virginia; and five sisters, Lou McCoy and Margaret (Peggy) Prakash of South Point, Ohio, Betty Ruth Hazlett, Barbara (Howard) Vanhose of Cattlesburg, Kentucky and Claris Stevens of Lousia, Kentucky. She also leaves behind a very special aunt, Phyliss (June) Evans of Jackson.

Along with her husband, she was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

She was a former employee of RJ Reynolds and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to watch wrestling.

Friends may call at the Lewis and Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 with Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio.
