Jane M. Ervin

Jane Marie Ervin, age 59, went home to her heavenly father on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 at the Ohio State University Hospital after a long illness due to her kidney transplant. She was born April 13th, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to Roger and Marjorie Ervin. She later moved to Jackson County where she attended Oak Hill Schools and graduated with honors. She then attended OSU College of Nursing and obtained her BSN. Jane enjoyed a long career in nursing that both started and ended at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. During her time at Nationwide Children’s she worked in the Neonatal ICU, on the Neonatal Transplant team, and most recently as Nurse Manager over the Urgent Care. She was a long-time member of Northwest UMC, Columbus and Vega Church. Jane loved her family and her two cherished dogs, Rolly and Max. So many of her co-workers and friends admired her faith and walk with God and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her mother, Marjorie Ervin; brothers, James Ervin and Robert Ervin of Jackson, Ohio; nieces, April Ervin and Annetta Snyder of Jackson, Ohio; nephew, Ian Ervin of Jackson, Ohio; several great-nieces and nephews; special friends, Pam, Patsy, and Jackie all of Columbus, Ohio.

Preceding her in death was her father, Roger Ervin and nephews, Dustin Vance and Benjamin Snyder.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 from 4-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 at 1PM with Pastor John Rozewicz officiating. Burial will follow at Vega Cemetery with a dinner after at Vega United Methodist Church.
