James L. “Jim” Bragg

James L. “Jim” Bragg, age 76, of Coalton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at his home. He was born June 2, 1941 in Coalton, Ohio, son of the late Dwight Benjamin Bragg and Stella Catherine Gentil Bragg. Jim was a 1959 graduate of Coalton High School. He retired from Pillsbury, where he was employed for over 20 years as a maintenance worker.

Jim enjoyed working with horses and working on race cars, both for the enjoyment of his family. Also, in years past, he loved coaching a lot of kids in sports.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol A. Wills Bragg; children, Cindy Bragg of Coalton, Jerry Bragg (Amy) of Wellston and Scott Bragg (Sheri) of Wellston; grandchildren, Katie Perkins (Jason), Amelia, Kylie and Brayden Bragg, and Makenzie and Drew Bragg; great-grandchildren, Addison and Mason Perkins; brother, Gene Bragg (Beverly) of Jackson, along with several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by brother, Paul Bragg, and sister, Elizabeth Kuhn. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Graveside service will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Andy Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow.
