James F. Wilson, 93, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away at 7:50 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 at Heartland of Jackson.

Jim was born in Jackson, son of the late Ada (Wilson) Weston. He was united in marriage to Betty (Mercer) Wilson and later to Katie (Wise) Wilson, and both preceded Jim in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Carol McCorkle, Susie (John) Smith and Mary Jane (Bruce) Richards all of Jackson; step-son, Bob (Gloria) Wise of Massillon; eight grandchildren, Joe McCorkle, Kathy Argabright, David Argabright, Jason Wilson, Jennifer Brenner, Daniel Wilson, Miranda Green, and Kristin Brunton; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Jim was also preceded in death by his two sons, James and Henry Wilson; son-in-law, Steve McCorkle; brother, Charles Lloyd and special friend, Joy Coyan.

Jim was a member of Jackson Christian Church and member of D.A.V. Chapter 45 of Jackson. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, having served 21 years as Gunnery Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp. After his military service, he worked at Jackson Implement and later Southern Ohio Coal.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Trinity Chapel Church, Jackson, Ohio with Pastor Knox Bullock, officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at Trinity Chapel Church from noon until the time of service Saturday.
