James A. Wyatt, Jr., age 55, of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. He was born in Oak Hill on Feb. 18, 1964 to the late James A. Wyatt, Sr. and Betty Ann (Canter) Wyatt, who survives.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his sisters: Jean (Keith) Polzer and Roberta (Jack) Sturgill; and nieces and nephews, Jason (Heather) Powell, Shelby (Cody) Durham, and Paige Hughes. Also surviving are four great-nephews and one great-niece.

Jimmy loved to play music and the drums. He liked hunting, fishing and reading the Bible. He attended Columbia Chapel Church and did some preaching.

Funeral services will held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, June 1 at 3 p.m., with Pastors Mike and Russ Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce-Mathers Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m.
