Helen R. Kuhn

Helen R. Kuhn, 84, of Ray, Ohio, went home with her Lord to meet John on Monday morning, December 3, 2012, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

She was born in Wellston, Ohio, on January 28, 1928, daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Welch Rowland. She was a 1946 graduate of Wellston High School, an inspector at Kuppenheimer (the pants factory) in Wellston for 46 years, a member of Pleasant Valley Trinity Church, and enjoyed her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Kuhn, in 1991; two brothers, Floyd and Leslie Rowland; and a sister, Ethel Cartwright.

Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Marcia and Gary James of Ray, and Janet and Richard Scurlock of Ray; a sister, Dorothy Smith, of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; special nieces, Karen Watters and Anita Camp; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Friday from 2 until 8 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Ridgewood Cemetery with Pastor Jim Taylor officiating.

The family suggests memorials in Helen’s name be made to the Chillicothe Worship Center Church of God, 901 Toledo St., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
