Hazel E. (Landrum) Collins

Hazel E. (Landrum) Collins, age 85, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at Holzer Hospital of Jackson from complications due to pneumonia. She was born March 21, 1932 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Walter Scott and Nellie (Foster) Landrum.

Hazel worked at several factories around Jackson for years. Her last job was at Giovanni’s after she retired from Luigino’s because she couldn’t sit still. She loved all her family and enjoyed feeding them and their friends. She enjoyed quilting, bingo, word search books, and making pies and noodles.

She is survived by her girls: Eva (Ron) Aldrich, Marilyn (Dave) Williams, Tina (Tony) Pierce, Susan Swisher (Paul Stapleton), and Kathy (Myron) Rosenberger; grandchildren: Jason, Sarah, Rachel, Eric, Rhonda, Shari, Ronnie Lee, Matthew, Randy, Colin, Cody, Jay R, Steven, David, Jared, Kasey, Levi, and Brody; great-grandchildren: Alex, Ashton, Zane, Taylor, Jackie, Tierany, Brianna, Skylor, Clayton, Ashley, Michael, Jacob, Lindsay, Austin, Gabe, Jaron, Ady, Shyanne, Keala, Kalle, Peightyn, Nick, Lakyn, Patty Sue, Emma, Talan, Izzy, Bradyn, and Rosie; great-great-grandchildren: Leora, Arthur, Mason, Bria, Everlee, Rylee, Axle, and Ryker; sisters, Charleen Haynes and Mary Reed; brothers, Ike and Floyd Landrum; numerous nieces and nephews; and special four-legged friends, Klinger and Tigger.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her beloved husband of 63 years, Lewis Collins; sisters: Freda Lambert, Juanita Bolen, Bernice Sturgill, Kathleen Foster, Clara Reed, Eileen Walker, and Frances Ann Landrum; brothers, Paul, John, Ivan, Walter Jr., and Billy; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jorge Anido officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Coalton.
