Harold Eugene Russell

Harold Eugene Russell, age 74, of Wellston, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from his home.  He was surrounded by his loved ones, Pastor Don Kincaid, and friends at the time of his passing. 

He was born Oct. 5, 1944 in Morgan Center, Ohio, son of the late Harold M. Russell and Ethel G. (Ruschel) Russell.  Harold worked for North Gallia High School as a bus mechanic for 13 years.  He continued to do mechanic work until his retirement. 

Harold followed his Lord religiously and attended Wellston Free Will Baptist Church.  He was involved with the community as long as his health allowed him to be.  

Harold is survived by his wife, Patty Russell; four daughters, Roxie (Jimmy) Doran of Wellston, Eugenia Peterson of Jackson, Beth (James) Powell of Wellston, and Tonya Riffle of Wellston; four sisters, Naomi Clonch of Lehigh Acres, Fl., Nancy Montgomery of Leigh Acres, Fl., Vickie (Gary) Kisor of Vinton, and Darlene Morock (Ron Trainor) of Gallipolis; along with 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two brothers, James Monroe Russell and Raymond Franklin Russell; sister, Mildred Eloise Russell-Adkins; three nieces, Pamela Forster, Rhonda Adkins and Barbara Russell; and one great-nephew, Shawn Gregory. 

The family will be having a memorial service on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 12 p.m. at the Wellston Free Will Baptist Church located at 1206 South Vermont Avenue in Wellston with Pastor Don Kincaid and Pastor Clyde Ferrell officiating.
