Glen Combs

Glen Combs, age 66, of Wellston, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at his home.  He was born Feb. 4, 1953 in Lebanon, Ohio, to the late Hubert Combs, Sr. and Nannie Murrill Combs. 

Glen was a talented carpenter, who was a former employee for Action Builders.  He was also the former groundskeeper for Fairgreens Country Club, as well as a mechanic who could repair anything.  Glen enjoyed his tractors and working outdoors, but most of all, Glen loved God and his family. 

He is survived by his wife, Martha Willis; daughters, Tabatha Nelson (Kevin) of Jackson and Crystal Combs of Middletown; step-children, Shanon Walton (Kim) of Wellston and Miranda Healey (J.P.) of Proctorville; siblings, Eunice Stewart of North Carolina, Ann Combs (Tommy) of Hawaii, Hubert Combs, Jr. (Brenda) of South Lebanon, Carol Hale (Jim) of Blanchester, and Charles Combs of Morrow; along with 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special close friends, Corky and Gayle Meadows, Willis McCarty and Randy Jones. 

Besides his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Ray Combs; and grandson, Robert Nesser, Jr.  Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  In keeping with Glen’s wishes, cremation will follow the service.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
