Gladys M. Caudill

Gladys M. Caudill, born June 8, 1945, passed away on Nov. 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Lexie Simpson. Surviving her are beloved husband, Chuck, and adored son, Jay (Tracy) Evans; two grandsons, six granddaughters, three great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons. She also leaves five sisters, Mary (John) Clark of Sandusky, Bonnie (Jim) Doherty of New Hampshire, Nancy (Erv) Cherrington of Oak Hill, Patricia Peters of Jackson and Melinda (Mark) Thompson of West Virginia.

She graduated with the Class of 1963 of Oak Hill High School, was a graduate of the University of Rio Grande and taught school for 30 years in Columbus. After retiring, she spent the remainder of her life dedicated to our veterans. She belonged to The American Legion Auxiliary #532, where she served faithfully. Most of all she was a life-long Christian. She currently belonged to New Horizons UMC. Through God’s grace, she is now reunited with Him in Paradise. Service was held at Jerry Spears Funeral Home in Columbus on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018. Private burial will be at Obetz Cemetery, at a later date.
