Gladia P. Ridge

Gladia P. Ridge, age 92, of Wellston, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born Oct. 31, 1926 in Cheshire, Ohio to the late Bennett Little and Edna Morris Little.

Gladia was a 1944 graduate of Cheshire High School and continued her education by attending cosmetology school in Canton, Ohio. A licensed cosmetologist for 65 years, Gladia was the former owner and operator of Gladia’s Beauty Shop in Wellston. She always enjoyed shopping and traveling.

Gladia is survived by two daughters, Autumn Trace (Mac) of Jackson and Kim Burroughs (Dave) of Wellston; grandchildren, Jeremy Reasor, Tiffany Reasor, and Alex Burroughs; great-grandchildren, Baillie Reasor, Lindsey Collins, Dakota Reasor and Christopher Crabtree; a great-great-grandchild, Chancellor Reasor; along with several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gladia was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley A. Ridge in 1997; step-son, Marion G. Ridge; and her brothers, Harold Little and Melvin Little.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery.
