Gerry Rodgers

Gerry Rodgers, age 78, of Hamden, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born February 11, 1935 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Delbert and Jamima Conley Loper. Gerry was a 1953 graduate of Hamden High School. She was a secretary at Reasor Equipment in Jackson for several years and was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in McArthur.

Gerry is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bob Rodgers; children, Deb Rodgers of Logan, Pam Rodgers of Hamden and Rob Rodgers of Chillicothe; sisters, Wilma Ray of Chillicothe, Delores Marks of California and Judy Salts of Cincinnati; as well as three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sherry Womeldorf and Shirley Turner and her brother, John McIntire.

At Gerry’s request, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church in McArthur with Episcopal Priest, Father Jason Leo officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 163549, Columbus, Ohio 43216. Services are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.
