Freddie F. Allen, age 74, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016. He was born April 8, 1941 to the late Stanley and Alice (McCain) Allen.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rita (Evans) Allen; children: Bonnie Allen (Jim Schneider) of Jackson, Ohio, Farrell Allen of Coalton, Ohio, Aaron Allen of Jackson, Ohio, Paul Allen of Jackson, Ohio, and Alicia (Heath) Shaner of Jackson, Ohio; grandchildren: Kevin and Glendon “Ted” Allen, Terrance Allen, Lake and Reed Allen, Ashtin and Ryann Allen, and Case Shaner; great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Janet) Allen of Jackson, Ohio; mother-in-law and friend, Evelyn Evans of Oak Hill, Ohio; good friend and hunting partner, David Sharp; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Bobby Allen, Gerald Allen, Lonnie Allen and Calvin Allen.

Freddie was a member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church. He worked in timber with his brothers, was a truck driver, and a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting and Cincinnati Reds baseball.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 1 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Fred Crabtree at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hill Cemetery.
