Faye L. (Callehan) King

Faye L. (Callehan) King, age 70, of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at the Four Winds Community. She was born in Jackson County, Ohio on Feb. 23, 1948 to the late Elmon and Betty (Walker) Callehan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin D. “Max” King in 2015, and brothers, Robert and Roger Callehan.

She is survived by her daughters, Barb (Oscar) McCoy, Pam (Gary) Shaw and Teresa (Mark) Saunders, along with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her sister, Peggy (Raymond) Spires also survives.

Faye was known locally as the “Notary Lady”. She was a former secretary with NEA Enterprises and a former member of the Eagles and Moose clubs. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Memory Gardens with Bill Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, Faye requested donations be made the American Cancer Society, ATTN.: Relay for Life of Jackson County, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
