Ellen M. Walton Skaggs, age 60, of Wellston, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born February 13, 1954 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Elmer Ottie McGinnis and Lucy Leedy Griffiths.
Ellen was a 1972 graduate of Jackson High School. She was a former employee of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Wellston and then later retired as a cook for the Jackson City School System.
Ellen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Megan Brown of Wellston, as well as three grandchildren and several step-children, step-grandchildren, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Walton, and her brother, James McGinnis.
