Dwight A. “Whitey” Doles

Dwight Allen “Whitey” Doles, age 69, of Wellston passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston.  He was born October 8, 1949, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Lester Doles and Mary Avious Ross Doles.

Whitey was the owner and operator of Doles Towing in Wellston for many years.  He was a former member of the Jackson County Fair Board and helped organize many events to support the Jackson County fair.  In his spare time, Whitey enjoyed dirt track racing, camping, and riding his UTV.  He is survived by his children, Keith Doles, Adrian Doles, Laura Puckett (John), Ashley Pelletier (Ryan), and Aaron Doles; brother, David Doles (Norma); along with 13 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Doles; and son, Brian Doles. 

In keeping with Whitey’s wishes, his body was cremated.  A memorial service will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 at 7 P.M. at McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the memorial service.  Whitey’s ashes will be placed with his wife, Cheryl, in the Byer Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
