Donna L. Dye, age 83, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Edgewood Manor in Wellston. She was born March 21, 1936, in Weirton, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Henry H. Hale and Margaret Thompson Hale.
Following 30 years of service, Donna retired from Kroger, where she was employed in Chillicothe for 5 years and in Wellston for 25 years. She attended Puritan Free Will Baptist Church.
Donna is survived by her sons, Robert Dye of Chauncey, James Dye of Wellston, and Bill Dye (Dorothy) of Wellston; grandchildren, Eli Mayles, Matthew Dye, Ryan Dye, Corey Dye, Brendan Dye, Ava Dye and Hunter Dye; sisters and brothers, Rebecca Seymour of Chillicothe, and Chester Hale (Sue), Margaret Hyde, Henry Hale (Sue), Nola Supplita and Susie Myers (James), all of West Virginia; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her twin sons, Matthew and Mark; and her sister, Mary Jo Williams.
At Donna’s request, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203 or a favorite charity of one’s choice.
