Donald “Junior” Edward Meacham, Jr., 63, of Coalton, Ohio, passed away on Aug. 2, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson, Ohio.

Donald “Junior” Edward Meacham, Jr., was born in Wellston, Ohio to Donald “Sonny” Meacham and Carolyn (Norris) Meacham on Sept. 6, 1955.  He married Michele Whaley on Dec. 3, 1979 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

He worked for the Village of Coalton in the 1990s and in his spare time enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, and singing along to Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings songs. Junior loved to make people laugh, and the smile on his face was as big as his heart. Junior loved playing with kids and kids loved playing with him.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Donald “Sonny” Meacham and Carolyn Meacham; father-in-law, Mayford Whaley; his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Junior is survived by his loving wife, Michele Meacham of Coalton; son, Geoffrey (Rosanne) Martin of Wooster; daughters, Tonya Meacham and Melinda Meacham of Columbus; granddaughters, Hadley and Aliannah and grandson, Naveen; mother-in-law, Mary Anne Whaley; close friend, Dick Whaley; and beloved siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and outlaws.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with funeral expenses be made directly to the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home, 135 Broadway St., Jackson, Ohio 45640.
