Donald H. Bolen, Sr., age 79, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 at his home. He was born Sept. 13, 1938 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Herbert Bolen and Juanita Landrum Bolen.
Donnie was a 1957 graduate of Jackson High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Donnie, a very talented auto body repairman and detailer, was a former employee of Dallas Chevrolet and Randy Roff Body Shop, both in Jackson. In his spare time he enjoyed music, cars and woodworking.
Donnie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Donald H. Bolen, Jr. and Michelle, of Logan, and his sister, Brenda Smith of Jackson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl M. Bolen in 2015.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Pastor Phil Stevens officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
