Diane Hickey, 84, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 at Holzer Medical Center of Jackson. She was born in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Orville F. and Mary E. Cochran Serrott. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Jackson BPW and the Mother’s Guild. She also loved to play cards and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children: James “Jim” (Pam) Hickey, Brenda Cox, Brian (Kay) Hickey and Robin (Harold) Hoover, grandchildren: Kyle Hickey, Ryan Hickey, Justin Cox, Travis Cox, Chris Cox, Conner Hickey, Keegan Hickey, Jacob Hoover, Chandler Hoover, Amos and Kerrigan Hoover; great-grandchildren: Addison, Ace, Jacob, Jack, Lacie, Kaitlyn and Audi; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Edith Serrott; husband: James Charles Hickey, Sr.; brother: Ronald Serrott; and her in-laws: George and Blanche Hickey.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. up to the start of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to: Jackson County Children Services, 25 E. South St., Jackson, Ohio 45640.
