David Michael Prater, age 69, of Jackson, “has gone home”. He passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Adena Health Care in Chillicothe.
He was born on October 16, 1946 to the late Wiley Prater and Letha Prater, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Shane Prater of Jackson; a daughter, Shannon (Rob) Spriggs; grandchildren, Stevi and Katie Spriggs; and two brothers, Jim (Debby) Prater and Larry (Margo Mapes) Prater.
Besides his father, a brother, Danny, and a sister, Carolyn Sue, preceded him in death.
David was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in Viet Nam. He was a heavy equipment operator for Geiger Brothers and KCI.
