Dallas Eugene “Gene” Hill, age 84, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on Feb. 23, 1933 to the late Harry and Marie (Coldin) Hill.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dallas E. Hill.
He is survived by his children: Doug Hill, Tammy Wallace, Christine Crowley, Sherry Hill and Lillie Motter. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, along with brothers and sisters: Jimmy, Richard, Sharon, Helen, Wilma and Wanda.
Gene liked to hunt, fish, play music and cut-up telling jokes. He especially enjoyed working on doing ancestry research on his family.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to your local humane society in Gene’s name.
