Dale “Jug” Danver, Jr.

Dale “Jug” Danver Jr., age 79, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at his home. He was born April 12, 1938 to the late Dale W. Danver, Sr. and Maxine Grimes.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Danver; son, Dale W. (Brenda) Danver III; daughter, Cheryl (Pete) Feeney; grandson, Casey Stiffler; granddaughter, Erika Danver; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Stiffler; great-grandson, Cannon Stiffler; brothers, Jeff and Greg Grimes; sister, Judy Danver; niece, Kelly Landrum; granddaughter, Sabrina Stiffler; his best friend, Smoke; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Chris Stiffler; sister, Mariolive Landon; and beloved brother-in-law, Mike Canter.

He was a former Captain at the Department of Corrections. He was a lifetime member of the Elks. He enjoyed watching Chris and Casey play football and Erika Play softball. He also enjoyed Nascar and football.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steve Queen officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillumfh.com
