Colleen Marie Moore, 55, of Jackson, was freed of every mortal limitation and stepped into God’s presence on May 29, 2019. She was born Oct. 14, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles Downey and Jodelle M. (Miner) Cremeens. Colleen graduated high school in 1981 from Faith Baptist Academy, Canal Winchester, Ohio. She was a member of LifeSource Apostolic Church in Wellston, Ohio.
Colleen gave her life to Jesus at the age of seven and she dedicated her life to the souls He died and rose again to redeem. Colleen was a warrior in intercession, a champion for the addicted and broken, a minister to the widow, and relentlessly stood in the gap for the backslidden and lost. She loved people purely and without exception. Everything Colleen touched she made beautiful, she had an unparalleled spirit and desire to serve in excellence.
Colleen never sought a platform but was graced with many because she pursued service. Her goal was to never disappoint her God or stand before Him empty handed. Colleen’s accomplishments are numerous, the following are highlights:
Colleen was the visionary and founder of Breaking Chains Restoration and Recovery Ministry established in 2009. She built a successful, close-knit, committed team who will carry on this work. There have been several satellite works born of this ministry and in 2017 she and Weston travelled to Ireland and helped to establish the first international branch of this ministry. She worked with the court system and other government agencies as an advocate for those she served.
Colleen also founded Lydia’s Luncheon (a ministry for local area business women), The Weeping Zone (a place of intercession), she served as a youth leader, imparting her passionate love for Jesus, souls and a desire to impact their world for Him. She worked in the capacity of director of many departments including the ladies’ ministry for many years. Colleen changed the course of many lives by leading them to the one that could transform them; the ripples of her life’s work and commitment will span generations.
Colleen is survived by her great love, Weston, husband of 35 years; two sons who are her crowning achievements, Seth (Angela) Moore of Jackson and Zachary (Leah) Moore of Canal Winchester; and by four grandchildren, each of whom were her enduring joy: Ava Noel, Myla Grace, Stella Rose, and Judah Elias Moore; one brother, Eric (Candace) Downey; step-dad, Dave Cremeens; mother-in-law, Janet Cummans; one brother-in-law, Carter (Joanna) Moore; two sisters-in-law, Diana Moore and Mary (David) Byrley; as well as two nephews and multiple nieces.
In addition to her parents, Colleen was preceded in death by her father-in-law, William Moore.
A memorial service celebrating Colleen’s life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 1 p.m. at LifeSource Apostolic Church, 110 Driving Park Rd., Wellston, with Pastor Michael Jadrnicek officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Colleen’s name may be made to Breaking Chains Restoration and Recovery Ministries, earmarked as such, in care of LifeSource Apostolic Church, P.O. Box 70, Wellston, Ohio 45692.
Colleen never stopped working for the Lord or believing in His power. She chronicled and shared the vision for many ministries she wanted to establish in her journals.
