Cheryl Lee Ragland, age 57, passed away peacefully at her home in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018. Cheryl was born on Oct. 4, 1961 in Chillicothe, Ohio, the youngest of eight children, to the late Ernest and Goldie (Tanner) Ragland.
She is survived by a brother, Raymond Ragland of Columbus; sisters, Dorthy (Chancey) Valentine, Mary (Jeff) Beard of Jackson, Barbara (John) Leech of Groveport, Ohio, and Betty Ragland of Piketon, Ohio. Cheryl also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and special friend, Jackson Hambrick; and special cousin, Jackie Tanner Hollins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John (Sonny) Ragland and Everett Ragland.
Cheryl graduated from Jackson High School in 1979 and was a Post Office employee for 32 years.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. in the Ragland Family Cemetery. Services are provided by Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home of Jackson.
