Charles Edward Jenkins, Sr., age 65, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 25, 1952 in Marion County, Ohio to the late Dewey and Vesta Meade Jenkins. He enjoyed spending his time going to flea markets and was a collector of all things.
Charles is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene Hackworth Jenkins; daughter: Gracie (Freddie) Cade, son: Charles Jr. (Scottie) Jenkins; brothers and sisters: Marilyn Butts, Sandy Strickland, Mary Foster, Barbara Keppler, Reva Woods and Joe Jenkins; grandchildren: Austin Cade, Makenzie Cade, Mykaile (JP) Wolfe, Caitlyn Jenkins and Keyan Jenkins; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters: Danny McCarty, Bessie Jenkins, Dewey Jenkins, Doug Jenkins and Ray Jenkins.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Hickory Grove Cemetery with military graveside honors by the Jackson Chapter 45 DAV. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation in Charles’ name can be made to: Atomic Credit Union, c/o Charles Jenkins Fund, 498 McCarty Lane, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
